Sri Lanka was earlier known
as granary of the east and later as the pearl of
the Indian Ocean. There are many communities in Sri Lanka. The
major community is Sinhala. Tamils, burghers and Muslims are minor communities.
There was a 30 years of war in Sri Lanka. Now the war is finish
all the terrorist are dead and now Sri Lanka is
a peaceful country. Now Sri Lankan people live calm
fully. They are very friendly and hospitable.
There are many mountains, flower
gardens & beautiful waterfalls in addition to rivers and tanks in this
beautiful island. The middle part of the country is hilly and
the Buddhist sacred hill Sri pada is also in the central part.
Tea ,coconut, rubber which are the main
export crops are grown in this country and they are used to be our
main foreign exchange earners. There are beautiful birds and
animals in my country. Thousands of tourists visit Sri Lanka every year to see
her beauty.
